Flender GmbH, Bocholt, Vörde, Mussum and Flender Industriegetriebe GmbH, Penig, have decided to expand their existing FASYS installation. The FATool 3D tool management and NC management with connection to the Siemens NX® CAD/CAM solution based on DIN 4000 feature lists is now also being used. The FASYS master server is used to centrally archive, maintain and promptly distribute (replicate) the configuration, master data and documents to the connected systems/locations. In Penig, the existing legacy RWT system has already been replaced by the FASYS DNC Server and the PC-based DNC frontend (FAPcd) for DNC transmission of NC and tool data; this is planned for the other locations.

Vulkan will use FATool's 3D tool and NC management (PTC/Creo® API) based on the DIN 4000 property feature lists. In the first step, all tools are recorded and 3D modeled. All CAM documents are managed via the FATool source and NC data management. The existing CAM system Creo/NC and the NC simulation NCSimul are directly connected. The next step is to connect the presetting and machines in DNC.

Carl Zeiss CMP GmbH, Göttingen, a supplier of software solutions and digital camera systems within the Zeiss Group, has opted for FASYS software solutions. CMP will use FATool's 3D tool and NC management (PTC/Creo® API) based on the DIN 4000 property feature lists. In the first step, all tools are recorded and 3D modeled. All CAM documents are managed via the FATool source and NC data management. The existing CAM systems Creo/NC and ESPRIT as well as the NC simulation Vericut are directly connected. The next step is to connect the presetting and machines in DNC.

MT Vils relies on the FATool 3D tool and NC management (SolidWorks® API) based on the DIN 4000 characteristic lists. At the same time, the NC programming system Edgecam® and the NC simulation Vericut® were connected to the FATool NC and tool management, the tool presetting is integrated and the the Kelch presetting device now supplied with tool data online.

FRAMO Flatøy AS, Frekhaug, Norway, a leading manufacturer of submersible pumping systems for shipping and offshore industries, has chosen FASYS software solutions. FRAMO will use the FATool 3D tool and NC management (PTC/Creo® API) based on the DIN 4000 tabular layouts of properties. In the first step, all tools are captured, 3D modeled and stored in inventory. The FATool source and NC data management is used to manage all CAM documents, and the CAM system Edgecam is connected directly. The existing DMG presetter is supplied with target tool data. Only the required tools are assembled and preset via the difference calculation. The actual tool data is transferred to the machines via Balluff chips.

ARI-Armaturen, the Albert Richter GmbH & Co. KG, Schloß Holte-Stukenbrock, is a leading manufacturer of fittings for regulation, shut-off, securing and discharging of liquid and gaseous media. ARI has decided to use FASYS solutions in the field of tool and resource management. The FATool 3D tool management with API integration of PTC Creo® based on the DIN 4000 tabular layouts of properties is used. The existing legacy system Genius 4000 will be replaced; old data has been transferred to FASYS. At the same time TopSolid'CAM V7 was introduced as a new CAM system and connected to FASYS. The next step is to connect presetting.

MAPAL Präzisionswerkzeuge Dr. Kress KG, Aalen, has decided to use the existing FASYS solution at a further location. MAPAL ITS GmbH, Eppingen, will be integrated. The FASYS master server for centrally archiving, maintaining and distributing configurations, master data and documents to the connected systems/locations (replication) will be used. At the Eppingen location, the 3D FATool tool management with API integration PTC/Creo is used.

Reifenhäuser GmbH & Co. KG Maschinenfabrik, Troisdorf, has decided to expand the existing FASYS installation. The solutions are used by the Reifenhäuser Cast Sheet Coating GmbH & Co. KG and Reiloy Metall GmbH at the location Troisdorf. To use now the FATool 3D tool management comes with API integration of PTC Creo® based on DIN 4000 item characteristics lists. The old system TDM Systems is replaced, all data are taken over. Existing CAM systems were connected, the new Esprit CAM solution integrated. The FATool NC administration and the PC-based front-end (FAPcd) for DNC transfer to the machine are successfully used for RH since 2014.

Stocks are managed with the integrated FATool warehouse management . The next step will be the integration of Zoller presetters.

WST will use FATool's 3D tool and NC management (SolidWorks® API) based on the DIN 4000 feature lists. In the first step, all tools are captured, 3D modeled and guided by storage technology. Existing Gühring automatic tool dispensers (Matrix) and Hänel lift systems are connected for storage, tool data is transferred to the Zoller presetting device. In step 2, the TopSolidCAM V7 programming system is connected, 3D tools are transferred from FASYS and all NC data is managed in FASYS.

Siemens Industriegetriebe GmbH, Penig, has decided to expand the existing FASYS installation. The FATool 3D tool and NC management system based on the DIN 4000 feature lists is already being used as a central resource management system. The FASYS DNC server and the PC-based DNC frontend (FAPcd) for DNC transmission of the NC and tool data are used to replace the existing RWT legacy system. At the same time, the presetting is integrated and the Zoller Pilot 3 presetting device is integrated into the process.
